Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures the moment when the largest piece of content in the viewport appears—be it an image, video, or text node (Fig 3.3). LCP is an improvement over other paint metrics since it emphasizes content prominence, therefore quantifying more perceptually significant milestones.
