Today, what should be done well (i.e., in an expert way) by service designers is often done by others. That is, by other practitioners who extended their original field of activity toward service design (even though they are not calling themselves service designers and haven’t been trained as such). This is the case with architects and urban planners who are working with local authorities designing new kinds of urban services; software developers, developing applications that are technology-based services; social workers, developing new social services; NGO activists, inventing empowering services with under-served communities.1006 ↱
